MADE: CDW range

For Clerkenwell Design Week we ran the pallet project which was a ten day experiment to see what we could create from materials found in the streets surrounding a pop-up workshop on Exmouth Market. Throughout the ten days we collected and documented over 50 pallets and made 21 pieces of furniture. Our aim was to make as many pieces as possible so we designed a form of construction which could be adapted to a chair, a stool, a bench and then a small table. Each piece of furniture was given an individual number through which you can trace the origins of the materials right back to a picture of the pallet and the location it was found.

Stay posted for our next exciting 10 day Pallet Project to be held later this month on EXMOUTH MARKET..!!

WHITECHAPEL DREAM: over

Unfortunately we have had to move out of the space in Whitechapel . This was always going to happen but sad all the same when Lloyds bank finally took the keys from out hands.

On the final day Ben (and Obi) took pictures of everything created during this iteration of the Pallet Project.

For six weeks work, all built from materials found on the streets, I feel quite proud of what we have created...
